Letting out inner child feee

Debra_L, Mar 2022

Traveling to Puerto Rico for a milestone birthday and want to release your inner child? This trip is for you! A little far from Condado/San Juan, but worth the drive. Ryan (Papa Chucci) picked us up near our hotel and after a few more stops, off we were. This did involve physical activity (hiking, swimming, walking), so be warned, but worth it.
First stop…what we would call a roadside stand. But worth the stop. Snacks (empanadas), fresh smoothies, and souvenirs. Yumm and supported a local bussiness. We did end up waiting here for a while for a second bus to arrive as Ryan was the guide for two busses. Once the second bus arrived and spent a few minutes, off to adventures we went.
Second stop…El Yunque National Rainforest for some cliff jumping and rope swinging. Getting to this area did involve a mild hike (able to do in watershoes or flip flops, but did have rocks and mud). Ryan showed us several animals and trees along the way, but the walk was worth it for the beautiful, tranquil part of the river. Was told where to go and where to jump. Ryan encouraged everyone who wanted to to jump or swing. Warning, when swinging off the rope, remember to let go or you come back and hit the tree. We did not want to stop and could not stop laughing.
Third stop, waterfall slide. Not sure where this was, but very fun. Little shop sold drinks and Ryan treated us to Limber’s (frozen ice treates). Then we were off to the waterside. It was a more difficult walk to this area (downhill, rocks and mud). Once to the waterfall area….tons of fun. This IS down rocks and may bounce off and get some bruises, but many laughs and a great memories.
Final stop…the kiosks. Lots of little restaurants and bars with a beach in the background. A great end to a fun filled day.
Highly recommend if you want to let your inner child free.

FANTASTIC!!!

Our guides Papi Chillo and Smiley were exceptional, from the moment we entered the bus, to the end of the tour, catering to us and all the other tourists in every way possible! The bus ride was fun, music was provided, the rainforest tour was great, the waterfall, jumping off a cliff , the food everything was fantastic! Highly recommend this tour, and the guides! Thanks aviator, Papi Chillo and Smiley for making this a memorable experience for my family and I!

Jennifer_S, Oct 2022

Really awesome day trip, our tour guide was Brian and he was very fun, very nice and very knowledgeable! He took the time to help my six-year-old daughter go down one of the natural water slides from a lower point so she was less scared. He gave us great tips about local activities and dining. The trip itself was a great mix of rain forest and beach.

Michael_E, Sep 2022

Brian was a very knowledgeable guide. He kept us safe and facilitated an exciting trip to 2 swimming areas one where we could jump into the river via rope swing & a natural waterslide at the other. Brian provided tips as a local for places to eat at Luquillo beach and other places around San Juan. This was the highlight of our trip to San Juan and the surrounding area!

Luis!!! The best!

Alexandra_D, Aug 2022

Our favorite parts was definitely the waterslide and my kids loved the fact they jumped off a rock into the river. Luis was our tour guide, he was great with our kids especially with my daughter he made sure she was safe jumping off the rock and sliding down the waterfall. Luis is very interactive and knows the forest well. We enjoyed ourselves, it was the best experience.

Great adventure

Jeffrey_L, Aug 2022

Waterslide and rope swing were awesome! Rainforest was beautiful. To clarify this trip is swimming, natural water slide beach and lunch. You won’t be hiking except for the 5 minute walks from the bus to the water. Enjoyed the rainforest activities and had a great relaxing time on the beach afterwards. Perfect way to spend a day at El Yunque! Our guide papi chulo is the man, he took great care of us and made sure we had a super fun and safe time.

It is possible that they made sacrifices to Kaltas-ekva (Yoli-Torum-syan, the Mother of the lower world, or Sorni-ekva, the Golden Baba). At the altar (yana kan) of Shaitan-mountain, pottery was laid, in which they brought, prepared food, kept arrows, idols of the gods. These idols were found on the temple back in the 20th century.

Ermak on the river Tura

On the Siberian rivers of the Cossacks, the water itself carried. Sailing down the Tagil, the flotilla hit the slower Tura. On this river she had to swim the greatest distance – several hundred versts. The width of the Tura is from 80 to 200 meters, the depth is up to 6 meters, the bottom is sandy, without rapids. The river meanders in the middle of open and flat banks. From Tura the expedition got to Tobol. Yermak traveled many versts along the Tobol. Leaning on the oars, using the sails with a fair wind, the flotilla quickly moved forward.

Once behind the Ural passes, the Cossacks were convinced that “the Siberian country is rich and abundant in everything and the people living in it are not warlike.”

The surrounding places seemed deaf. The settlements were scattered along the banks of the rivers at a great distance from one another. The inhabitants looked at the newcomers with childlike curiosity.

Cherkas Alexandrov described the first clash with the Tatars on the Tura River: “… they rowed to the village to Yepanchin “Turinskaya Ostrog”, and here Yermak had a battle with the Tatars with the Kuchumovs, but the Tatar language was not izymash. ” The Tatars, who fled from Yepanchin, reached Kash lyk before Yermak, and “Kuchum became aware of that.”

The first Russian settlement here is the Old Believer village Bolshaya Nomennaya, appeared in the 17th century. in place of the Mansiysk Paul.

You can get there along the highway Yekaterinburg – Serov along the road Alapaevsk – V. Sinyachikha, s. Sankino, after s. The Makhnevo road is impassable in wet weather. To the lower reaches – the road Yekaterinburg – Turinskaya Sloboda, there are many entrances to the river.

Alloy

“The Great Siberian Way” can be started in the city of Turinsk, swim to the village of Kulakovo. The total length of the route will be 100 kilometers. Overcome in 4-5 days.
Features:

Left tributary of the Tobol. On Tura there are 3 reservoirs, the Verkhoturskaya hydroelectric power station. Tura is the main source of water for Tyumen. In the lower reaches of the river, commercial fishing is carried out with nets.
