This tour was exactly what I was hoping for. The hike was beautiful and challenging, the slides were so much fun, and the rainforest was breathtaking! The guides, Hector and Patricia, were excellent. They know how to do their job very well. They kept us in their view at all times, and made sure we were safe and understood how to do things properly the whole time.

Evelyn, Jesus and Sebastian are awesome tour guides making sure everyone had fun, were safe and shared the history of Puerto Rico and it’s plants with us. Highly recommend as you do not get to go on a natural slide or rope swing into refreshing water in a rain forest everyday. Afterwards, we went to a place with a bunch of vendors and stores and had a blast enjoying the cuisine of the island.

Both guides (Brian and Sebastian) are very helpful and nice. The trip has a perfect balance of everything: not too tiring, not too boring, not too educational and not too intense.
Trips were exactly like what is described, and so much fun. There was an 8-yo girl in the group and even she could finish all water tasks – good for family.

What are the maximum and minimum ages?

The minimum age is 4 years. Due to uneven terrain, unstable weather due to rain, and walking distances, this tour is not recommended for children under 4yrs. Please assess your child’s ability to walk long distances and be in a car for extended periods of time before signing up for this tour. There is no maximum age, please take into consideration no matter the age that this tour requires some physical effort. Private tours might be available upon request to accommodate groups with people with limited mobility.

What are the tour maximum and minimum capacities?

The minimum capacity for the tour to go out is 6ppl and until further notice due to Forest Service limitations, the maximum capacity is 12ppl.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing, suggest bathing suit under in case of rain. Must wear closed-toe shoes with good traction. Preferably hiking shoes or sneakers that are designed for all-terrain. Nobody can take the tour with sandals or flip-flops.

Will the tour go out if it rains?

Yes, unless the Forest Service determines that the rains are too copious and represent a danger for visitors, we will go out with rain. As it is Rain Forest, the probability of rain during the tour is high, be prepared for that.

Are there bathrooms in the forest?

Yes, but please note that there is considerable distance between them. We will make stops before and after the tour.

San Juan has blue pavements. They were paved with stone 500 years ago, which the Spaniards used as ship ballast. On the way from San Juan to El Yunque, you can pick up some great souvenirs. Exotic masks are made here in almost every village. Another wonder is El Yunque National Park. Here, a giant bamboo wall rises up to the sky, lianas twist, waterfalls rustle, and something continuously hoots, rustles and screams. CDs of the sounds of El Yunque are in great demand: this is the voice of nature itself, as it was thousands of years ago.
