One of the best small town plazas anywhere! They keep it clean; the sculptures are great, and the whole square is very interesting.

Plaza Colón is the traditional town square of Mayagüez with its church and townhall on the periphery. It also surrounded by multiple restaurants and stores. The place is clean and the landscape is in good condition. Today, a Saturday night, the place is lively, which is likely in part due to the open-air Friend’s Café which make really good coffee.
