THE BEST ZIPLINE TOURS IN COSTA RICA

Visitors to this country are almost never allowed to travel without a zip fastener. It is as important as your visa stamp, the right of way in Costa Rica for one and all. Five-year-olds and 95-year-olds did it. Sometimes it seems to me that my mother, who was too scared to try, is the only person who has ever come to Costa Rica and not on a zipline.

Everyone except my mother faced a very difficult choice: where is on the zip line? No matter what city you’re in, I’m willing to bet 500 columns that the zip line is within 10 miles of you. And it’s probably the perfect zip line, given that most of them use the same things: telephone wire, tree platforms, helmets, harnesses, clips, gloves, etc.

I’ve done more ziplines, than I could ever hope for, to the point where it really got boring. I once sent a text message during a zip, so I’m more than qualified to tell you which zippers are insanely good, and here they are.

Arenal Sky Trek

This elaborate canopy tour begins with an open-air gondola ride to the top of the trees, where the observation deck offers full views of the Arenal Volcano and surrounding lands. From there you fly over 10 cables, the best of which is about half a mile long. Soaring above the trees, you can admire the view of the volcano and the lake, and even on rainy days, it’s fun to break through the fog at top speed.

Extreme Monteverde

Above the foggy forest in central Costa Rica, this lightning-fast extravaganza includes 14 platforms at a starting height of nearly 1,400 feet. The four rides run for almost half a mile, with a free Tarzan swing waiting for you at the end. The hotel also has a separate Superman zip-liner that goes very far and very fast, and the ability to bungee jump.

Montezuma Falls Canopy Tour

Reasonably priced tour ($45), this is one of the best zip line deals I have ever come across. With 13 platforms suspended above the jungle, adrenaline has no choice but to kick-start. However, my favorite part is the stop at Montezuma Falls where you can show off a backflip or two and then immediately return to the zipline tour.

Corcovado Canopy Tour

Costa Rica’s largest virgin forest is located here on Corcovado, and it’s only natural that the zip line is excellent. This operation offers 11 cables that cover 50 miles and are not high above the ground, making it less intimidating but still exhilarating. I’m pretty sure my mom won’t notice it anyway.

Witches Rock Canopy Tour

You better believe that on the chic Papagayo Peninsula, this canopy tour is the safest and most enjoyable thing to do in the area. The views range from dry forest to ocean, from waterfalls to sunset if you go at the right time. The tour includes 24 platforms, three suspension bridges and three climbs. For people like my mom who can go in the middle, there are five exits along the way.

Excursions in Puntarenas 2022 – low prices for tours

Puntarenas – the main seaport of the country

The city is located on the Pacific coast. Sea beaches are very popular among tourists, more suitable for surfing and snorkeling. This is a well-known direction of ecotourism.

The FindGid service will help you organize a trip to Puntarenas, tell you the nuances of the trip, offer reviews from tourists. With FindGid it is easy and convenient to order tickets online, book a room or place on a sightseeing tour. With FindGid your vacation will be of high quality and inexpensive.

Puntarenas attractions – what to look for?

Ecotourism lovers go to heaven when they arrive in this wonderful city. They can enjoy the lush beautiful vegetation, cable cars and suspension bridges, the cries of animals – all the mystical atmosphere of the impenetrable jungle.

Here you can hire a boatman and take a trip through the mangroves, which are home to crocodiles, herons and many other exotic birds. These marshy places can be seen from any pier in the northern part of the city.

One of the famous national parks of Puntarenas is the Corcovado Park, located on the Osa Peninsula. The rainforest of the park was saved with difficulty due to the resettlement of people and the construction of houses, which required building materials. And the forest began to be cut down. The park attracts tourists with its pristine beauty. There are no restaurants, cafes where you can eat, special walking paths. Walking in the park, you can see a variety of amazing animals. For example, a transparent frog, in which all internal organs are visible. There are caves here that can only be visited with an experienced guide.

The city organizes excursions to the Poas volcano, walks along the rivers inhabited by crocodiles. Wherever you look and go, everywhere in Puntarenas there are parks or reserves, with rare birds and animals.

This city is famous for its many beaches and the period of dry weather, when you can take a break from the rains. In the rest of Costa Rica, it rains incessantly.

Quite an unusual landmark of the city are stone balls, which are an interesting sight and give food for thought, where they came from. According to archaeologists, the origin of this unique artifact can be attributed to 200-1500 BC.
