Miguel Agrelot permaneci como uno de los comediantes favoritos
de Puerto Rico. Naci el 21 de abril de 1927 en Santurce, con el
nombre de Giuseppe Michel, en honor a su abuela paterna quien
era italiana.. Realiz estudios en la Universidad de Puerto
Rico, obteniendo un grado de bachiller en Ciencias Polticas y
Economa  en 1949.

Comenz desde los 14 aos en la radio
local. Le siguieron presentaciones en teatro y clubes nocturnos.

Comenz a familiarizarse con la radio
en la estacin de Toms Muiz, padre de Tommy Muiz. Naci
el primer personaje,”Torito Fuertes”, el nio gordito
y travieso.. “Torito” se integr al elenco del
programa radial “El colegio de le alegra”,
transmitido por WIAC, a raz de la aceptacin del personaje
tuvo su propio espacio en WKAQ, titulado”Torito
&Company”.

Le dio vida posteriormente a personajes
tales como.”Don Cholito”, “Don Rodrguez y
Rodrguez. “Profesor Pulula”,”Juan
Macana”,”Pancho Matanzas”,”Doa
Pasin”,”El Soldado Manteca”, Serafn Si
Fin”,”Speedy Gonzalez” y otros.

Particip en los programas de
comedia,”El profesor Colgate”,”La criada
malcirada”,”El especial Corona”, :Desafiando a
los genios”,”Haciendo historia”

En 1970 su programa”Ja ja ji ji jo
jo” ocup los primeros lugares de las encuestas. Previo a
ello inici la transmisicon diaria de un espacio al mediodia
titulado” Encabuya y vuelve y tira”.presentando el
personaje de Don Cholito”.

Incursion en los aos 60 en el cine
con la versin filmica de”La criada malcriada” y con
el largo metraje”Preciosa”. Protagoniz el drama
“El gallo peln”.

Ms all de la comedia fue un hombre
dado a la reflexin seria, cultivando la lectura y la poesa.
Publi libros de chistes, as como una revista infantil basada
en el personaje de Torito. Grab un disco de chistes ern 1969
titulado”El sabor de la vida”.

Un total de 1,500 distinciones fueron
atesoradas por el actor en al intimidad de su hogar. De la misma
manera”La Ciudad Torito” en el Parque de las Ciencias
en Bayamn.

En 2003, Agrelot fue distinguido en el libro de record Guiness
por la transimisin ininterrumpida de casi 6 dcadas
de”Su alegre despertar” en Puerto Rico.

Se present en Venezuela, Republica
Dominicana, en Nueva York, New Jersey, Miami,y Chicago en los EU.

En el 1981 la Cmara de Comericio de Puerto Rico, lo nombr Ciudadano
del Ao y recibi adems Premio a La Excelencia por la
Cerveceria Corona por la contribucin a las causas nobles de la
comunidad. Se le dedic el Desfile Puertorriqueo en Nueva
York.
