Fresh Brothers Pizza Moves to Georgee’s
The former site of Georgee’s Pizza at 720 Foothill Blvd. , La Cañada Flintridge will be the new homes of Fresh Brothers Pizza.

By Mary O’KEEFE
After 41 years of serving the community in and around La Cañada Flintridge Georgee’s Pizza owner, George Jacobs, decided it was time to retire. Georgee’s Pizza was the place to go after the game or before Music in the Park or really just about any time. Georgee’s owner was always supportive of the community.
To see any business close, regardless of the reason, is tough; however the good news is the location will not be closed for long. Fresh Brothers Pizza is preparing to open the pizza restaurant doors once again.
“We got to know George over [this last] year. He has been there for 41 years and was looking for a way to retire,” said Geoff Goodman, CEO of Fresh Brothers Pizza.
Goodman continued to stay in touch with Jacobs, letting him know Fresh Brothers would be interested in stepping in if he wanted to retire.
“It’s a great location,” Goodman said. “It’s a great community.”
Goodman said it was perfect timing when Jacobs decided to retire giving Fresh Brothers the chance to move in, filling the pizza void in the community.
“That is what we [have done] in so many communities that we are a part of. The concept was really born out of the South Bay. Our first store was in Manhattan Beach, then [we opened in] Redondo Beach and Marina Del Rey. Just about every single weekend we are doing some community event where we are either supporting a cause, a school or sports. That is really the core of [business]. I think that is why George and I got along so well because we think ‘community first,’” Goodman said.
Fresh Brothers Pizza’s dough and sauce are similar to Georgee’s but they additionally offer a large variety of items suitable for just about every diet. They have a gluten-free pizza crust as well as keto and cauliflower. Goodman added they offer a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan choices, always using fresh ingredients.
Goodman said they take pride in the fact that they have a menu that is friendly to all diets.
Everyone who worked at Georgee’s was offered a position at Fresh Brothers Pizza, and they are looking for more workers, Goodman said.
They are hoping to open in about a month.
Goodman added that though this is a great first job for teenagers or college students it is also a good job for people of any age.
“We are pretty good to our [employees],” he said. “We take care of our folks.”
He said he has teenage kids and knows school comes first, so scheduling takes school calendars into consideration.
They plan on holding several events as they open up, inviting the community to get to know them. Although they are a new business they will remember the legacy of giving that Georgee’s contributed to the community and will work to build on that foundation.

Kate Middleton’s parenting secrets
The Dukes of Cambridge are raising three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Kate Middleton and Prince William have to exercise maximum patience and wisdom in order not to deprive them of their childhood and at the same time instill in them the skills of royal heirs.

Life in society
Representatives of the British monarchy moved away from home education, which was traditionally received by the heirs to the throne. Kate and William want their sons and daughter to grow up in society. That is why George and Charlotte go to school. In their case, of course, it is private and privileged. But children have the opportunity to communicate with their peers. In 2021, the youngest son Louis turned three years old, he went to kindergarten.
Outdoor activities
The Duchess of Cambridge believes that no activity within the walls of Kensington Palace can replace children playing outside. That is why the family, whenever possible, tries to spend more time at the country residence Anmer Hall in Norfolk. Kate even initiated her Back to Nature program. She arranged several picturesque corners in London with swings, wooden huts and plants so that parents, even in urban conditions, could walk and play with children in the air.
The Duchess is sure that this is beneficial for both the physical and mental development of the offspring. “A child’s mental health is just as important as their physical health, and parents should not be embarrassed by their children’s mental health issues, or worse, brush them aside. They should always remember the psychological comfort of the child,” she said emotionally.

Kate Middleton and other stars who live in luxurious homes
Today, Prince William and Kate Middleton live in Kensington Palace’s luxurious apartment A1. The magnificent 20-room apartment overlooking Hyde Park is decorated in gold tones (what else?), but, for example, the children’s bedrooms are furnished with standard IKEA furniture.

Gadgets and TV on schedule
The children of the Dukes of Cambridge, in addition to school lessons, also study at home. They need to know a little more than their peers: the traditions of the monarchy, etiquette and royal protocol. In general, they simply do not have time for gadgets. Kate is in no hurry to give smartphones and tablets to children, believing that the time has not yet come for this. They use them rarely and very dosed. The royal heirs also rarely watch TV. At the same time, parents and their assistants try to control the content.
They select educational programs and educational cartoons. After that, Kate and William discuss with the children what they saw. Prince William admitted in an interview that he and Kate know all the characters from Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam well. “You need to pretend that you are really interested in the development of the plot, because George is very upset if you do not pay attention to the characters,” the heir to the throne explained.
Code words and no shouting
The future king and queen are aware that one day Prince George will ascend the throne. But Charlotte and Louis also have to live with persistent public attention. Children now occasionally go out with their parents. Can you imagine if one of them decides to throw a tantrum in public? Young heirs are taught from childhood that such behavior is unacceptable for them. Parents themselves do not accept swearing and high-pitched conversations within the family.
A mother of many children is sure that all problems can be solved with the help of a calm, constructive conversation. Surrounded by the duchess, they say that she even has code words to calm the children when they start to rage a little and indulge in people. Kate and William also follow a joint parenting system. If one parent says no, the other shouldn’t say yes.
Heart-to-heart talks and hugs
The Dukes of Cambridge are well aware that George, Charlotte and Louis still grow up in greenhouse conditions compared to many other children. “Children are expressing their own anxiety about school subjects, a swimming lesson, a sly ballet maneuver, a missed tennis game, or even watching starving children in TV ads,” an insider said. Parents try to talk to them as much as possible and explain how life works outside the palace.
They talk to the children about their grievances and grievances. Kate and William do not allow their sons or daughter to go to bed hurt or upset. At the same time, there are no forbidden topics between parents and their heirs. The Dukes of Cambridge also do not share the royal tradition of being prim and reserved in showing feelings for children. They often kiss and hug their heirs, do not hesitate to do this even in public. “Hugs are very important. This is what I constantly tell my children about, ”said Middleton.
Joint chores in the kitchen
Kate loves to cook. When she is not busy with royal duties, she likes to spend time in the kitchen. Middleton involves her children in the cooking process. She believes that joint chores in the kitchen are the best way to unite the family. At a meeting with TV presenter Mary Berry, the Duchess admitted that they are her big fans and often try to repeat her culinary masterpieces.
